Sage at Home Terms of Use

Eligibility and accounts

You may use Sage at Home only if you are a participating customer, received or are entitled to an invitation, can enter these Terms, and use the service in accordance with applicable law. Keep access to your email account and one-time codes secure, provide accurate information, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use.

Service and dealer relationship

Sage at Home organizes pool profiles, water tests, prescriptions, treatments, supplies, dealer messages, alerts, and AI-assisted guidance. Your participating dealer is an independent source of products, professional testing, and pool-care service. Sage at Home does not replace that relationship or create an emergency, medical, engineering, or professional safety service.

Pool-care and AI limitations

Water conditions, equipment, products, and local requirements vary. AI-generated or automated guidance can be incomplete or wrong. Always follow product labels, equipment instructions, applicable laws, and the directions of qualified professionals and your participating dealer. Confirm measurements and doses before acting. Do not mix products unless their labels expressly permit it.

Do not use Sage at Home for an emergency. For an exposure, injury, dangerous chemical reaction, electrical hazard, or other urgent situation, stop using the feature and contact emergency services, poison control, the product manufacturer, or another appropriate professional.

Acceptable use

• Do not access another person’s account, bypass security, interfere with the service, probe for vulnerabilities, or submit unlawful or harmful material.
• Do not rely on Sage at Home to operate equipment or perform actions requiring direct inspection or professional judgment.
• Do not copy, scrape, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the service or its content except as permitted by law.

Intellectual property

Sage at Home, its software, design, content, and related marks are owned by Backyard Brands or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for your personal participation in the program. You retain rights in information you submit, while granting the permissions reasonably needed to operate and support the service.

Availability, suspension, and termination

Features may change and the service may be interrupted. Access may be limited or suspended to protect customers, dealers, Backyard Brands, or the service; to address misuse; when participation ends; or when required by law. You may sign out at any time and may initiate account deletion in the app or on the Delete Account page.

Disclaimers and responsibility

Sage at Home is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Backyard Brands and its service providers do not promise uninterrupted service or that automated guidance will be error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. You remain responsible for verifying pool-care actions, following labels, maintaining equipment, and obtaining professional assistance when appropriate.

Governing terms and contact

Applicable law governs these Terms and any mandatory consumer protections continue to apply. Questions about these Terms can be directed through the Support page or your participating dealer. If a change materially affects required terms, Sage at Home may require acknowledgement of a newly published version before further use.
